The Oahu Essentials Pass has no groups. You pick three sights from a fixed list: the Makani Catamaran Sail, the Waikiki Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise, the Diamond Head shuttle and hike, the Pearl Harbor & Hawaii History Tour, the Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Sea Life Park, the Wet'n'Wild Hawaii water park and Waimea Valley on the North Shore. If you want to get on the water yourself, take the surfboard, kayak or stand-up paddleboard rental.
All of these are also in the Explorer Pass, which costs more for three attractions. The Explorer only pays off if you want something the Essentials Pass lacks, such as the Polynesian Cultural Center or the Kualoa Ranch tours.
The pass is valid for 30 days from the first scan. You can return it to Go City free of charge for up to 90 days after purchase, as long as you have not used it.
The catamaran, the snorkel cruise, Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor and the surfboard, kayak and paddleboard rentals need a time slot reserved in the Go City App. Only the Bishop Museum, Sea Life Park, Wet'n'Wild and Waimea Valley work without a reservation.

Adult prices without a pass, as listed by Go City. Checked: 09.10.2026.
Tick what you want to visit. The calculator shows what the same entries would cost if bought separately.
You book with Go City and receive a confirmation by email.
Download the Go City App, enter your confirmation code, and the pass is on your phone. Setting it up does not activate it yet.
You need a set time for Makani Catamaran Sail, Waikiki Turtle Canyon Snorkel Cruise, Diamond Head Shuttle & Hike and a few other places, among others. The list above shows which ones. Reservations are made in the app at no extra cost.
Your first scan starts the 30 days of validity.
Go City sells several passes in this city. The Essentials Pass is the smallest of them.

With the cheaper sights on the list the numbers do not add up: Waimea Valley, the Bishop Museum and the surfboard rental cost less together when bought separately than the pass. The pass pays off with the catamaran, the snorkel cruise or Pearl Harbor. And if the Polynesian Cultural Center or Kualoa Ranch is why you are coming to Oahu, you need the Explorer Pass.
It runs for 30 days from your first visit. Buying it and setting it up in the app does not start the clock.
Yes, with Go City within 90 days of purchase, as long as you have not used the pass. After the first scan there is no refund.
For three sights from the Essentials list, the Essentials Pass is cheaper. You only need the Explorer for sights missing from it, or for more than three entries.
The pass includes the Pearl Harbor & Hawaii History Tour at a set time. Check the Go City description before reserving to see exactly what it covers at Pearl Harbor. The Battleship Missouri is not in the Essentials Pass.
Yes. The shuttle and hike run at a set time, which you book in the Go City App. You cannot do it without one.
Children aged 3 to 12 get their own, cheaper pass; from 13 the adult price applies. At the Bishop Museum and the rentals, children pay the same as adults when buying separately, so the child pass saves more there.
For Waimea Valley on the North Shore you need a car or the bus; the other sights are closer to Honolulu. The Go City App lists where each boat and rental starts.
No. You decide as you go; only the sights that require a reservation need booking in the app beforehand.
The catamaran and Turtle Canyon give you the most value and have fixed departures. Reserve them right after buying and plan the third entry around the weather.
