The Las Vegas Essentials Pass at a glance

The Las Vegas Essentials Pass has no groups. You choose three sights freely: on the Strip, for example, the High Roller observation wheel, the Eiffel Tower at the Paris hotel, The Tower at the STRAT, the Big Apple Coaster, FlyOver or Madame Tussauds, and Downtown the Mob Museum and the Neon Museum. You can also swap one entry for a food voucher at Favorite Bistro.

All of these are also in the Explorer Pass, which costs more for three attractions. Shows, desert trips and helicopter flights, on the other hand, only come with the bigger passes.

The pass is valid for 30 days from the first scan. You can return it to Go City free of charge for up to 90 days after purchase, as long as you have not used it.

For the High Roller and the Eiffel Tower you reserve a time slot in the Go City App. The Neon Museum ticket works for either a daytime or an evening visit.

How to use the Las Vegas Essentials Pass

  1. Buy online

    You book with Go City and receive a confirmation by email.

  2. Set up the app

    Download the Go City App, enter your confirmation code, and the pass is on your phone. Setting it up does not activate it yet.

  3. Reserve time slots

    You need a set time for: High Roller Observation Wheel: Daytime Ticket, Eiffel Tower Experience at Paris Las Vegas. You book it in the app at no extra cost.

  4. Scan at the entrance

    Your first scan starts the 30 days of validity.

What the Las Vegas Essentials Pass does not cover

  • Public transport: you pay for buses and the Monorail along the Strip separately.
  • KÀ by Cirque du Soleil, the night helicopter flight over the Strip and the hike in Valley of Fire or Red Rock Canyon are only in the All-Inclusive Pass.
  • The Hoover Dam tour, the Big Bus tours and the escape rooms belong to the Explorer and All-Inclusive Pass, not the Essentials Pass.
  • Shows such as WOW, ROUGE and the Piano Man Show are also only in the Explorer and All-Inclusive Pass.

When the pass is not worth it

In Las Vegas the saving is small, because many sights are cheap on their own. With the coaster, the bistro voucher and Madame Tussauds you pay about as much with the pass as at the ticket desk. It only pays off with FlyOver, the STRAT Tower, the Mob Museum or the Eiffel Tower. This applies even more to children, since the High Roller, the Neon Museum and the Mob Museum are much cheaper for them when bought separately.

How long is the Las Vegas Essentials Pass valid?

It runs for 30 days from your first visit. Buying it and setting it up in the app does not start the clock.

Can I cancel the pass for free?

Yes, with Go City within 90 days of purchase, as long as you have not used the pass. After the first scan there is no refund.

Which sights need a time slot?

Only the High Roller and the Eiffel Tower. You reserve in the Go City App at no extra cost. You can visit everything else without booking.

Is the pass worth it for children?

Only with the right selection. Children aged 3 to 12 get their own pass, but the High Roller, the Neon Museum and the Mob Museum are so cheap for them separately that three of them can come in under the child price. The coaster and Madame Tussauds, on the other hand, cost children the same as adults.

What is the Favorite Bistro voucher?

Instead of an entry you get a food voucher at the restaurant. It only makes sense if you were going to eat there anyway, because it is worth less than most of the other sights.

Is a show included in the pass?

No. WOW, ROUGE and the Piano Man Show are in the Explorer and All-Inclusive Pass, and KÀ by Cirque du Soleil only in the All-Inclusive Pass.

Can I add more than three sights?

Not with the Essentials Pass, which has exactly three entries. For four or more, the Explorer Pass is the one to look at; the comparison below shows its tiers.

Are buses and the Monorail included?

No, public transport is not included in any of the passes Go City sells for Las Vegas.

Plan in the pricier sights

Take at least one of the sights that cost a lot on their own, such as FlyOver or the STRAT Tower, and reserve the High Roller or the Eiffel Tower right after buying. Decide the rest when you are there.
