The Gothenburg Essentials Pass gives you three entries. You take one from the top group: the Universeum science centre, the guided Paddan City boat tour or Prison Island. The other two come from the second group with the Gothenburg Museum of Art and the Hasselblad Center on Götaplatsen, the City Museum, the Museum of World Culture, the Maritime Museum and Aquarium, the Maritiman ship museum, Aeroseum and Laserdome Kållered.
There is no Explorer Pass in Gothenburg. Besides the Essentials Pass, Go City only offers the All-Inclusive Pass for one to five days, and the one-day version is only a little more expensive.
The pass is valid for 30 days from your first visit. Go City gives you a full refund for up to 90 days after purchase, as long as you have not used it.
Only Prison Island requires a set time, which you reserve through Go City after buying. You visit all the other sights without a reservation, using the QR code from the Go City App.

The one-day All-Inclusive Pass costs only a little more than the Essentials Pass. If you can fit three sights into one day, such as the Paddan ride, Universeum and a museum, it gives you the same entries plus any other attraction that day. With an anchor sight and two of the municipal museums, separate tickets are also usually cheaper, because those museums charge little for entry.
It is valid for 30 days from your first visit. So you can also spread the three entries over two weekends.
Yes, with Go City within 90 days of purchase, as long as you have not used the pass. After the first scan there is no refund.
If you want to do everything in one day, take the one-day All-Inclusive Pass; it costs hardly any more. The Essentials Pass suits you better if you want to take your time over three sights.
Not in the Essentials Pass. The amusement park is not among its options.
A team game in which you solve challenges in individual cells. It is the only sight in the Essentials Pass that needs a reserved time.
Children aged 3 to 15 get their own, cheaper pass; from 16 the adult pass applies. For the Museum of Art, the City Museum, the Maritime Museum and the Museum of World Culture, Go City lists no child price; the municipal museums are usually free for children. So the child pass works better with Universeum, Paddan or Prison Island plus Maritiman or Aeroseum.
A science centre with a rainforest, aquariums and hands-on experiments. The Museum of World Culture is right next door, and the two combine well in one afternoon.
No. Trams, buses and ferries are not included in the Essentials Pass; you buy tickets separately.
If you can do everything in one day, the All-Inclusive Pass is the better choice. If you spread three sights over several days, take the Essentials Pass with Universeum or Paddan as your anchor sight.
